Feeding Guide

1:1 Ratio

Stimulation

Best used in early spring to stimulate the queen's egg-laying by mimicking a natural nectar flow. Thin syrup is easy for bees to digest and accelerates brood build-up before the main honey flow.

1.5:1 Ratio

Maintenance

Ideal during summer nectar dearths or dry spells. Keeps the colony strong and healthy without inducing excessive brood expansion or heavy winter storage.

2:1 Ratio

Winter Feed

Feed in late summer/fall to build winter stores. Dense syrup requires less energy for bees to dehydrate and store in honeycombs, ensuring adequate food through cold months.

Note: This is a general guide. Beekeepers should adjust feeding according to local climate and floral conditions.
